First and foremost, I am a huge sports fan from Fort Wayne, Indiana.  Sport defines me and it is one of my biggest passions.  I can watch a wide variety of sports, but I have my limits (I’m looking at you soccer).

There are also a few quirks to what I don’t watch.  I absolutely love college basketball but despise the NBA.

I’ve also played baseball, volleyball, bowling and hockey.

My favorite teams, which will probably receive preferential treatment on this site:

-NHL:  Columbus Blue Jackets, New York Rangers

-MLB:  Chicago Cubs, Minnesota Twins

-NFL:  Indianapolis Colts

-NCAAB:  Indiana schools.  I love the Hoosiers, but closely follow Butler, Notre Dame, Purdue, IPFW and Ball State.

-NCAAF:  As above, I’m always rooting for the in-state schools but the Irish are the only team even making noise as of late.

- I also somewhat closely follow the National Lacrosse League and the Minnesota Swarm.

On the gaming side of the equation, I’ve been playing since the Nintendo Entertainment System became big, around 1985.

Currently, I heavily favor the Xbox 360 as it is, in my opinion, vastly superior to its competitors. I do own a Wii and a Playstation 3 however.

Sports games are my favorite genre but I play others like the Batman, Uncharted, Bioshock, and Halo series.  I’m very critical of video games and feel mediocre games have no place in my gaming console.

The two games I annually look forward to are EA’s NHL series and SCEA’s MLB: The Show.
